What Is Petroleum
A thick, flammable, yellow to black mixture of solid hydrocarbons, liquid and gaseous that occurs naturally beneath the earth's surface. It can be separated into fractions including, gasoline, fuel, naphtha, kerosene, natural gas, paraffin wax, asphalt and lubricating oils and is also used as raw material for a wide variety of derivative products.
